CA Inter Direct Entry Registration Fees

This fee includes the amount for CA Inter Books published by ICAI, which are to be ordered by students online through icai-cds portal.

Eligibility to enroll in CA Inter Direct Entry Scheme

The following categories of students are eligible to register directly for ICAI CA Inter Course without passing the CA Foundation:

• Category 1 Student
  1. Graduates or Post Graduates from Commerce stream having secured in aggregate a minimum of 55% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognized University (including Open University).
  2. Graduates or Post Graduates other than those falling under Commerce stream having secured in aggregate a minimum of 60% of the total marks or its equivalent grade in the examination conducted by any recognized University (including Open University).
• Category 2 Student
1. Candidates who have passed CMA Intermediate or CS Executive examination

CA Inter Direct Entry Registration Process

The CA Inter Direct Entry Registration process is completely online. To check whether you are eligible to register through direct entry scheme read ca inter course eligibility (direct entry route). ICAI has a self-service portal (SSP) to manage the process of registration and submitting self-attested documents. Registration can be done using this registration link.

Once you open this link you can easily enter the fields required and continue your registration step by step. All administrative interactions throughout the life cycle of a CA student are done through the online portal and there is no need for personal visit to the ICAI Office for submission of physical documents.

Step-by-Step CA Inter Direct Entry Registration Process (New Course)

• Step 1 - Open this registration link
• Step 2 - Fill up the details asked on the page. Please keep in mind -
• Enter SALUTATION, NAME, DOB and GENDER as per your Graduation/Post graduation/CMA Inter/ CS executive marksheet.
• Enter MOBILE NO. and E-MAIL id carefully as all important communications and otp from ICAI will be sent to these only.
  Once you finish step 2 you will receive an email from ICAI which would be stating
  User Id: APPxxxxxx
  Password: xxxxxxxx
  and a link: https://eservices.icai.org/EFormas/x.html
• Step 3 – Use the link and the credentials provided in step 2 by icai on mail to login, then click on
• Student Function
• Course registration
• Apply for Intermediate Course (Direct Entry)
• Step 4 – Fill up all the details asked such as your address, parent’s name, the score obtained in Graduation/Post graduation/CMA Inter/ CS executive marksheet, etc.
• Step 5 – Upload your scanned picture and all the required documents.
• Step 6 – Make the payment

And after this your registration for CA Inter Direct Entry with ICAI would be complete. You will receive an email from ICAI about the same on your registered email id.

Provisional Registration for Direct Entry Students

• Students who are pursuing the Final Year of Graduation can register for CA Inter course on the provisional basis before 6 months of completion of their graduation.
• Students have to submit their graduation mark sheet with the above-specified marks within 6 months of provisional registration for CA Inter direct entry scheme.
• During the provisional registration period, a student can undergo and complete ICITSS (IT and OC). Please note, they cannot start their articleship during this period. Articleship can only be started after clearing Both Groups exam of CA Intermediate. A student has to submit the final graduation marksheet within 6 months of provisional registration.
• If such candidate fails to produce the proof within the aforesaid period, his provisional registration shall stand cancelled and the registration and other fees paid by him shall not be refunded/ adjusted and no credit shall be given.

How to become a CA (Direct Entry Route)-

The CA Inter Direct Entry Route is available to 2 category of students -

Category 1 - Students who have completed their Graduation/Post Graduation
Category 2 - Students who have completed CMA or CS Intermediate exams
